"I can remember a professor saying that you write for an audience. So who is my audience? Who are you? Maybe you are the person who picked up this journal off of my corpse. Or maybe the corpse of the guy who got me. Or maybe the corpse of the guy who got him. Maybe you just happen to be the first interested person who knows how to read that found an old beat up book on a pile of bones. Whoever you are, I'm going to assume that you're younger than me, so you may not know of things the way they used to be, but you do know how things are. I hope if this is taken off of my body, the slug who killed me is under me, and has been dead just a little longer. It doesn't help much to fall first."
This book is a work in progress, as a project for National Novel Writing Month 2013. I am publishing a few previously completed chapters that will not be included in the final word count for NaNo, and will update throughout November. Feedback is appreciated, but final revisions will not happen until after NaNo, so please forgive any errors for the time being!
