Первый вариант этой игры был разработан под влиянием книги "Проект Феникс. Роман о том, как DevOps меняет бизнес к лучшему" Авторы: Джин Ким, Кевин Бер и Джордж Спаффорд. Игра неоднократно дорабатывалась и изменялась по результатам ее проведения на конференциях и мастер классах в различных организациях.
Версия игры, описанная в русском издании, публикуется впервые.
