O carte despre ... intr-un cuvant, as spune despre muzica, dar asa cum mi-am dat seama in decursul anilor, daca vrei sa scrii despre muzica, trebuie sa scrii nu doar despre acele note muzicale frumos sau mai putin frumos aranjate intr-un caiet de partituri. Ai de scris despre multe alte lucruri, si in fond jurnalismul online cam asta tinde sa faca; sa scrie despre artisti, despre industrie si mai putin despre muzica propriu zisa. Eu in felul meu aparte, uneori pe un ton acid, alteori cu naivitatea unui idealist am incercat sa readuc balanta la normal in ceea ce inseamna critica muzicala.
"Degeaba vorbim despre muzica buna, atata timp cat aceasta notiune este una care ne scapa printre degete, ca nisipul fin. Criticul este nevoit sa se foloseasca de psihologia inversa, exploatand astfel prostia cu scopul de a o face atat de evidenta, incat sa doara. Asa-numita durere, in schimb, are ca rezultat pareri, comentarii. In acest moment un critic si-a atins scopul. Acela de a pune la indoiala prestatia unui artist, calitatea unei piese. Cititorul va trebui sa-si autodovedeasca daca are sau daca nu are (criticul) dreptate. Este cat se poate de simplu: "cogito ergo sum". Daca nu exista "cogito", nu exista "sum". Criticul "sum" sa provoace "cogito". Asta fiindca alte sanse nu mai are..." (fragment din "Critica Muzicala - Arta psihologiei inverse")
