Mr. Owl's Stirling Engine
Mr. Owl had disappeared into his workshop again. The last anyone had seen of him was at the breakfast table that morning, where he had been enjoying his can of pineapple juice, which was his favorite, aside from apricot juice, which was also his favorite.
As he left the table, he was holding an empty pineapple juice can in his wings and muttering something about a “Stirling heat engine”.
Mrs. Owl told Christopher that his father had that same grin on his face whenever he was starting a new project, and that he was likely to remain hidden in his workshop until he was finished, or hungry, but more likely the latter.
Mrs. Owl rolled her eyes, Christopher, Patrick, and Valentine all looked at each other, and then they all laughed.
