In questo libro ho voluto raccogliere alcune poesie, chiamate "Schegge e tracce", assieme ai testi di canzoni "Tracce oniriche" che ho scritto, per diversi ensemble musicali (Brave New Worlds, Terre Differenti), dal 1972 al 2020.
Retengo che entrambe (poesie e canzoni), mettendo a nudo aspetti psicologici del mio essere, mostrino i miei principi filosofici e sociologici più profondi. Certamente le prime poesie (realizzate a partire dal 1972) risultano puerili essendo state stritte in età adolescenziale, eppure mostrano un'interessante affinità - pur non sempre coerente - con quelle che ho scritto negli anni successivi.

Fabio Armani
Fabio Armani è uno scrittore e compositore e pianista nato a Roma nel 1958. Si è laureato in Astrofisica nel 1987, ed ha studiato piano e composizione jazz sin dal 1974.
Scrive poesie e racconti sin dal 1972. Compone musica vocale e strumentale sia acustica, sia rock ed elettronica (Computer Music), al momento è direttore artistico degli ensemble musicali Brave New Worlds (www.bravenewworlds.info), Otras Tierras (www.otrastierras.com), Tangraminds e Terre Differenti (@terredifferenti).
Lo è stato di Advena Avis, Tangram e Eartheart. Fabio suona il pianoforte, le tastiere (piano elettrico, organo, sintetizzatori), i campionatori e svariate percussioni. Compone ed arrangia gran parte del repertorio delle formazioni di cui è leader e per musicisti di genere diverso (dal pop al jazz).
Nel 1999 ha fondato l'etichetta indipendente Different Lands (www.differentlands.com) allo scopo di produrre e promuovere artisti ed opere di World Fusion Music. L'etichetta è specializzata in musica elettronica, jazz, world fusion e classica contemporanea.
Nel 2000 ha realizzato il suo primo CD interamente dedicato a composizioni ed esecuzioni per pianoforte solista, intitolato Nostalgie di futuro. Il CD, prodotto dall'etichetta Different Lands, è una collezione di composizioni per pianoforte, basate su differenti stili musicali, che spaziano dal jazz alla classica, con forti influenze medio-orientali.
La collaborazione artistica con numerosi artisti (tra i quali Elisabetta Antonini, Marco Conti, Alessandro D'Aloia, Abdullah Mohamed, Miguel Fernandez, Noemi Nori e Yasemin Sannino) ha portato allo sviluppo del progetto di world fusion Terre Differenti.
