Die Sprache wird systematisch und aktuell behandelt und mit einigen Hintergrundinformationen versehen. Es wird teilweise auch der generierte JavaScript-Code diskutiert, damit der Entwickler seine Umgebung besser beherrschen kann.

Vorkenntnisse in JavaScript und allgemein in der Web-Entwicklung sind sinnvoll. Jedoch werden auch die Teile erklärt, die ursächlich in JavaScript relevant sind.

 Das Buch behandelt aktuell die Version 4.0.
