La temática del libro "Volveré a mis raíces" puede resumirse en dos aspectos esenciales: el dolor de una patria herida por años de conflictos armados, y el amor como esperanza de reconciliación y de paz. La soledad de un mundo donde la libertad del hombre ha estado siempre en jaque, y donde estar vivo es una condición que pende de un hilo, son realidades dramáticas que la palabra sitúa en un escenario de gritos y de denuncias, para que las conciencias despierten y construyan, a través de la esperanza, espacios donde la convivencia, el amor y la paz sean posibles.

José Julián Guevara Parra
Docente desde 1980, graduado como Matemático en la Universidad de Antioquia, y Magister en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Catedrático durante 23 años en la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira. Obtuvo el primer puesto en poesía en el concurso “Centenario de Apía” en 1983 con la obra “Un hilo de tristeza”. Su cuento “Una lluvia de flores blancas” fue publicado en el libro “Concurso de cuento Solidaridad” (2001), en la selección hecha por el jurado en un concurso convocado por la cooperativa Cooeducar. Distinguido con varios premios de poesía y de cuento organizados por la cooperativa del magisterio Coodelmar. Fue invitado en los años 2011, 2012 y 2013 al encuentro internacional de poetas “Luna de locos”, teniendo la oportunidad de leer sus trabajos ante públicos jóvenes de establecimientos educativos de Pereira, Colombia. Autor de dos libros de poesía: “Volveré a mis raíces” y “Cadenas invisibles”, y uno de cuentos intitulado “Los fantasmas de la memoria”.
