This book is based on my R package yorkr, now available in CRAN. In this book I discuss how this package can be used to analyze ODI and T20 cricket matches. yorkr is based on match data from Cricsheet(http://cricheet.org). yorkr can analyze team performances as well as individual batting and bowling performances. Cricsheet has match data in yaml format and includes ball-by-ball details. Hence yorkr can provide insight on batting partnerships, bowling performances against a specific opposition or all oppositions.

I am a pioneer, architect and a Programmer with 27++ years experience in software. I am the author of ‘cricketr‘ R package, now available at CRAN. My interests span Telecom, Distributed Systems, AI,  Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Cloud computing, Mobile apps,  Economics and History. I am programming linguist-polyglot, part-time philosopher and an amateur photographer.

I did  B-Tech in Electronics from IIT-BHU,Varanasi and Masters in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Recently I completed a 10 module course in Data Science Specialization from John Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health at Coursera. I  am currently working in IBM as a Cloud Architect.
